Hi everyone

HI everyone

My name is Zhipeng Zhu, come from China. I'm 19.I major in computer science engineering.

I have spent 18 years to study in china but I fall in the most important exam which we call college entrance examination. It means I have the use another year to prepare for next test or I have to go to a school which didn’t satisfy me if I stay in china. Then I decide to make some different. After getting a lot of information from my friends who already get the offer, I believe that study abroad is the best choice. I use 4 month to prepare my SAT, TOEFL and application. When I got offer from osu, I knew this school will be the one I will stay for at least 4 years, because OSU can provide me top education on CSE.

My parents both in the charge in charge of IT company, they have told me a lot of thing about computer science when I was young. It’s deeply attracting so I decide to learn CSE in college, I just want to learn more about computer. When I graduate from college I hope I can help my parents do their job.

Except computer, there are also many things interested me. I love travel, I have been to more than 20 different place in china, but unfortunate I never been be for I come to OSU. Study abroad provided me the chance to face different culture, that’s really a wonderful experience. After finish my homework I usually open my Playstation 3, then have a game. That will set free all my pressure and make me feel really comfortable.

By the why, this is me.

Hi, my name is Jaehoo Lee. I am from South Korea, where it located between in China and in Japan. This is my first time to visit Ohio. I have visited many cities in the states, such as; Boston, New York, Chicago, Sanfrancisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Philadelphia, Connecticut, and Vermont. However, among these cities, the most friendly and my favorite state is Vermont, which is surrounded by mountains and snow. The reason Vermont is friendly state for me is because I had graduated high school from Saint Johnsbury in Vermont. I was studying in Vermont, since I was in a Freshmen. Eventhough people say Columbus is still boring city, I prefer to study in here rather than in Vermont. At least, I can avoid harsh weather, and I do not need to wait 5 minutes to search the Internet.
I love to play soccer. I have watched soccer leagues, named EPL, for almost six years. I like to play not only soccer game, but also play soccer with my friends. I am a fan of Arsenal soccer team. I have gathered more than 10 soccer uniforms, and soccer balls as well.
I am a Bio major right now. But, actually I applied in business major before. I chosed business major first, because my father manages a company that produces bio equipments and anti virus machines. I desired to study business, but I am not good at understanding theories and laws. Instead, I am really good at memorizing definitions and lectures. Due to this reason, I changed my major to biology. In the future, I will learn business management from ym father by working at my father's company.
This is all about me. I hope you enjoyed my story and get know little bit about me more than when we met first time. Thank you!

Hi. My name is Junghyun Hong. Nice to meet you guys~

Hi. My name is Junghyun Hong. I'm from Korea and I'm 25 years old. I'm a transfer students and major in Economics. Actually, I already graduated college in Korea and this is my second bachelor session. I'm preparing graduate school and I hope to be admitted by OSU graduate school. I love to both play and watch almost all of sports. Especially, I love baseball most. I'm a Cleveland Indians fan and you can easily see my Indians Baseball cap during this quarter. I finished my military service as an Officer. I was a first lieutenant when I finished it. It was the best experience to improve my leadership and relationship with many kinds of people in my life. I studied english in ALP program which is the second langauge program in OSU for 2 quarters. So, I'm more familiar with OSU and Columbus than other new students. If you guys want to know good restaurants, I can recommend some to you because I know some restaurants which have special deals. I hope all students in our class study hard and improve our english and writing skill. Also, hope to get A grade. Nice to meet you all and See you tommorow in the class. Thank you for reading my article.

Hi Everyone!

Hi class!
My name is Chanho Park, from South Korea. I am 23 years old in America. First of all, so to speaking about my family, I have devoting parents and brother who is high school student. My father, the role model of mine, is businessman and he always endeavoring in his job and support our family. Plus, my mother is high school teacher and she caring our family member at all the times. Also, my younger brother is habitually put effort on his academic career. I really do happy because of them. I would not be attend at Ohio State if they were not support me.
I came Ohio State after I was discharged from military service. I have had hard time when I was in army, but it is now memorable reminiscence to me. In addtion, I really glad to get know my instructor, Eric Benson, and all you guys in 106 class! Besides, learning high quality of education in Ohio State is best opportunity in entire my life. Now I planning to attend Fisher College in Ohio State University after attend the basic course. For this goal, I would have to do a lot of thing for academic performance. When I made decision of study aboard, I was freaked out about my future environment and relationship thing. However, I realized it was not only meaningless fear after I met many people in Ohio State. All the people around me is really nice and chemistry things are right with me. I want to say that I hope get involvement various people who came from differnt background and environment as long as I am staying in Ohio State. For the last thing, attending Ohio State University is the best turning point in my whole life.

Go Bucks~!

Hello! Everyone,
Good to see other friends in the Internet. By the way…! Is it a latest post? Am I bottom in the class? I thing it is too late post but it is also brand new post! Now, beginning my first blog post!

My name is Honglae Kim, it is hard to pronounce some friends in the class. So, just call me “Hong” it is easier than my full name. I was born in Korea (not a north but south and it is very sorrow situation because country spirit into south and north). My hometown is Dang-jin, near by Seoul away from about 1 hour by using a car. However there is rural area comparing other cities. So, I had a great childhood in my hometown. I mean saw a lot of insects and catch it with butterfly catcher; most of all air is very clean and fresh. Also, my friends and I made a hideout but forgot a location sometime.

First of all, I am introducing my family members. My family is very normal family in Korea and other countries. (In this picture, there is many people because it was a family party at that time. Unfortunately my brother is absent at that time because of military service.) Father, mother, brother, and me (oops.. now without me and brother). Sometime my father is tough to me and sometime he is like one of my friends so, I do not know my father’s thinks now and then and my mother is very giving person because she work for health center and help other people so, I always happy when I see her. Next turn is my brother. He is a also student therefore, he is far away from family like me but not so far comparing tot me because he study in Korea. So, this is why my parents are old easily day by day (two student in the family, I think it is so heavy).

Also, I was junior in Korea and transfer to The Ohio State University. But, I do not know what is my exact year of college is. However, I am majoring in engineering specifically mechanical engineering in OSU (It is wired…). Some people ask me about “why did you change your major?” because, I do not know anything without engineering and it does not mean I am good at my major never, ever. I do not know about finance, education, or art. So, it is my best choice to select engineering. Another problem is E.N.G.L.S.H. I mean some vocabulary and equations are same in the classes as English as Korea. Because, it’s are official language. So fortunately, I can understand an important thing in the lecture without professor’s speaking. Just see the equation and understand it. (It is also wired…am I crazy?)

Finally, I strongly believe not only that admission into OSU is my turning point in my life but also that best teaching from faculties and a lot of courses are one of the great universities in the world so; it is honored to me that study with those professors and all of OSU students, especially our class!

Thank for your reading with patience even my poor English skills.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Aman Patel. I am from Ahmedabad, India. I am a freshman at OSU. Before I came to Columbus I lived in India, I spent my 18 years in India completing my high school. After completion of high school I decided that I wanted to study in USA so I started preparing for my SAT, TOEFL and Advance Placement exam. I chose The Ohio State University because a lot of international students are there, so I can interact with many people who belong to different country and also study with them. Moreover the faculty and staff over here are expert in their field. When I came to OSU I saw that everything is different over here people are very helpful over here and the curriculum is also very different and also more difficult.

My major is Civil Engineering, after graduating I will pursue a degree in MBA. And I think that I will be a good engineer.

In my spare time I like to play sports, I love to play table tennis, Soccer, Lawn tennis. I usually play one of these sports with my friends everyday. And also I love to play video games.

I have attached two pictures one of the pictures is my younger brother, my cousin brother and me. And in the other picture I was at the Nigra falls, it was the first time that I had visited USA with my family. It was in June 2009; the purpose of the trip was to see the University in USA and also for traveling purpose. In my family I have a Dad, Mom and a Younger brother. I had never thought that I would miss my family so much until I left my country. This is the first time I have lived alone and also so far from my family.

Hi! Name is Zhaoya Zhang, and you can just call me Gina. I am so glad to take class with you guys. As a member of EDUTL106, I would love to share something about myself here, like the city I live in, my family, and my friends.

I’m from Shanghai, China. Many people may only know this is a large city but I also think it is unique. I believe Shanghai is unique for it has been affected by western culture since the latest century. So the city is a masterpiece as it’s perfectly combined the western and eastern culture and expressed the combination in many aspects in a harmony. I love this city, it brings me surprise everywhere.

Our family live in the suburb of Shanghai. I am the only child of our family. But I never feel lonely cuz we also have 2 lovely dogs. Usually we “five” like to hang out together, go hiking or having picnic. And as I have some same interests with my parent, I never bored to spend time with them. We travel a lot in China, by car or event on foot. We all think from a trip you can learn more than the book taught you, so every journey could be a lesson for all of us. We all enjoy it ,and enjoy our life.

Without the family, being with my friends is another critical part for my spare time. Personally I regard myself as a flexible person, so I could be crazy and do whatever we can call to mind with my crazy friends or I could be quite lady and have some common hobbies with my quiet friends. However, together with all of my friends we share our different attitudes towards having fun; we always satisfied with each other and try to make some new attempt to amuse everybody in our group. They really varied my life.

So here is little things about me. Hope we can get alone well and have fun!

I had regretted bitterly about this so i decided to go U.S university when i entered korean university. Even though I received admission from more than 10 universities, I chooses OSU. OSU has good reputation, alumni, circumstance and tuition fees. I think this choice is the best i have ever done.

Hi Everyone

HI everyone

I’m from China. I was named DongJin Li by my Grandfather, whom with wisdom. I was born in 1989, which was a real turbulent period.

I used to be a Fine Art student before I transferred to OSU. I have lived in Beijing for 8 years. During the 8 years, there were many beautiful things had happened in my life.

The most unforgettable story is that I went the Bei-Hai Park(means the Park of North Sea) with my girl friend when it was snowing. The snow was so heavy that the earth and the sky almost became one world. We stood on the top of the BeiHai tower and looked around the city.

The whole city was so quiet that we even could hear the sound of snowing. It seems that not only The Forbidden City, but the time has been frozen by the snow.

I have never thought that I would miss that country and that city so deeply until I was leaving. I have never thought that there are so many things which need to be remembered until I walked alone in Manhattan’s darkness.

I haven’t lived with my family since I was a teenager. I still can remember that I worked in the frigid wind alone in the midnight of Spring Festival in 2003.

However, that doesn’t weak, but strong the relationship between my family and me. All of us know that we need to sacrifice something important to make our dreams come true. Even it is painful.

We should believe that our dreams and our decisions which made by ourselves are believable and viable. And we should try our best to make our dreams come true.

New life in OSU (Shirley Lin)

Hello everybody!

This is Shirley Lin. I was born in Taiwan, Taipei. My mom is a half Japanese, but I am not good at speaking Japanese! I am a first year student in OSU. Before I came to Columbus, I was in Virginia for high school for three years. There are five members in my family which includes my mom, dad, Ian, Tiffany, myself and my lovely puppy. And I'm a middle child by the way. I have a wonderful family and I love them!

While visiting a friend who lives at Ohio State University, I saw the largest library on the school campus. I was amazed by the huge quantity of books in the Thompson Library. I could feel my heartbeat beat violently. Those books would satisfy my academic and leisure needs for many years. My first impression was even more enhanced by the diverse worldliness of the University campus in general. Therefore I consider Ohio State to be my top choice.

I strongly believe that Ohio State University is one of the best colleges in the world, when it comes to the amount of resources and the availability of professional field research. Such aspects of the University can help me to achieve my dream. I am specifically interested in the Fisher College at OSU. In Paulo Coelho’s novel, The Alchemist, an old man advises, “What makes life wonderful depends on each different people and things which have unique value.” I believe this is the goal of going to Fisher College. How people react to situations and things is predictable when correct research is the premise. Ever since I was young, I’ve been aware of the power of business and how it influences people’s ideas and actions.

We live in a fast paced society ruled by media while companies spend outrageous amounts of money to get the attention of viewers hoping to increase sales of their products and/or services. In the twenty-first century, business has become indispensible, and I want to be indispensible. Graduating from Ohio State University is the major step toward that goal!

My name is Hyunwoo Kim and I am from Seoul, S Korea. Seoul is capital of Korea since about 600 years ago. In these days, it is one of the largest city in the world. I was born in Seoul and lived there for my entire life besides living in United States.
From Aug. 2005 I had an opportunity to study in United States as an high school exchange student, and I went to Monticello high school in Minnesota for a year. While I was living in Minnesota, it was great experience for me so I decided to study more in America. Thus I came back to US and started to study in college in Fresno, California. After a semester, I went to Lansing, Michigan in order to start my 'real' college life. I went college in Michigan for three years and I got accepted to OSU on March. So I started to study at OSU from summer quarter.
My major is Economics, but I also want to learn marketing and finance as well since I am planning to work as a marketer and fund manager. I h0pe to study well in OSU as well as making many friends here. Hope everyone in this class achieve what they plan to, want to, and wish to. Thanks for reading and have a great last of weekend.

Hello U ~!

Hello everyone, my name is Lei Chen and i come from China Shanghai and i am a christian. I still feel like a dream that i am studying in US now! I was the top student in the class during studying in kindergarten and elementary school (we do have a lot homework and exams to do and my classmates all feel so stressfull
in the competition otherwise i will not mention it). When i graduate from elementary school, i found out that math in junior high school and senior high school of China is so dificult to learn although i tried really really hard. One day, i scaned a math textbook for senior high school of America accidentally, it made me begin to dream sduty in US.I think you know the reason...Well,i am so appreciate the collegial education of America as well , and this is the main reason for me to go for it.

I have an unusual big family in China, they are my father, mother, elder brother, younger brother, little sister and me. My parent never allow me to hang out with friends at night and my curfew was 7:00pm everyday. Their strict parenting i can totally understand because i know they lost a son after the year i was born. It made them so scare to loose another child. But i kept telling them the advantages of study abroad and promised i would call back to China everyday.Finally,11 years later, one day my father came to me and said "you enjoy your life,it is not easy to live far away from home especially the first time and i will support you always". I was too excited to say a word to him at that moment...The day after that, i said "you are fired" to my boss who i worked for 2years. Then, i started to prepare my toefl test and other important information for my
 future study in US.

On May 5th 2010, i recieved acceptence letter from Ohio state university which is highly ranked, the largest one in US,known for offering more job opportunities than Harvard. This is the one i want to spend money and time for.I choose business as my major because i wish i can have my business in the near future just like my father although i still have no idea of what kind of business i am going to do.But i have known that i am standing in the giant's shoulder already.Succed can be very tiny teeny little task you achieve in every singal day,so my friends, we can be successful if we try our best to do it.

Last but not least, being a good man is as important as being a good student through our study life in OSU.

(By the way, this picture was taken just before the day i left China. You may curious why there are so many people in it, because my brothers are married and have three children)

Myself and my new life in osu~

Hi, everyone.~O(∩_∩)O~
I am a sunshine boy who comes from Qingdao, China, a beautiful seaside city. My name is Gefei Li. But in China, people call me Li gefei. That's because the culture is different. I love my hometown because I was born in Qingdao and I grew up there. I was born in a traditional Chinese family, accept the traditional Chinese education. And I enjoy everything through my growing up, that's why I have many hobbies. I like every sport especially basketball. I played basketball in a local club and won a championship at that time. I also like music, film, travelling, cooking balabalabala~So I hope to make many friends who has the same hobbies at OSU.
The picture shown there is my family. This photo was taken in the airport,in september, when I was going to the OSU! You know when I received the admission letter, I was very happy very excited.
When I came here, e
verything was new. New country, new people, new language, new culture, new school, new roommate~(there an other picture shows my roomates)~I also enjoy everything here. I enjoy my new class, enjoy new people. I begin to make friends at here, everyone here is very nice and zealous. I enjoy the new food here eventhough it's not delicious than the food in my hometown. HaHa. I enjoy the beautiful scenery of campus. There is a picture shows I and the oval.
Now my new life in ohio state university is begin. I will keeping enjoy everything and work hard on my study. And hope to make more friends.
That's all~
Best wishes for every readers!
Gefei~

New Start in OSU

Hi everyone!
My name is Yixue Wang, you can also call me Maggie. I come from Hefei, a small town in South of China, close to Shanghai. I used to study in Tianjin University for about three years, now I transfer to OSU as an underguraduate student. My major is architecture. I love design which brings me lots of fun and delights my boring life. I come to USA to broaden my horizons and cultivate the sense of architecture especially morden architecture.

I have been here for about two weeks. Despite trying my best to adjust to the new environment, I still feel homesick and lonely. Obviously, as an international student, we have to face and struggle with more challenges than the natives, like communication in English, high price of goods, inconvenient public transportation, different cultures and so on.

Meanwhile, I do still enjoy the life here. People here prefer to enjoy life rather than struggling with life which is quite diffenent with China. The tempo of life, the enlightened society, the green around, the fresh air, the facilities of OSU, the professional professor, the pleasant learning atmosphere bring me in a totally different life.

Consequently, I still have to concentrate on the improvement of English and academic achievement. And I'm sure that studing in USA will enrich my experience as well as enhance my adaptability and the skill of independence.

Thanks & best wishes to my family. I miss U, my little puppy.

Hi everyone,
My name is Ramis Almenhali. I was born in United Arab Emirates. I live in Abu Dhabi which is the capital of UAE. I'm 19 years old and I'll study finance at OSU. Actually, I don't know from where I start. Let's see I like hanging out with my family and friends. I like to joke around and have fun, but I know when to be serious. I enjoy playing sports such as soccer, football and camel racing. I love to write poems just for me as well. I really like to spend time reading about different cultures. I also feel happy to help poor people with their life. I'm honest and loyal; I have no reason to lie because I know that whatever is done in the darkness will come to light. I believe that communication is very important for anyone wants to have friends.

I have been in Columbus since last year. In the first day, as I arrived to Columbus, I found myself standing in front of whole new world and brand new life. There were a lot of things different from my country, so I decided to walk around and discover new things and to watch the view of the great morning. When I reached to OSU campus and I saw the gorgeous place and wonderful views I really liked it, also with all that small animals climbing the trees. In the beginning I thought that having my own place to live would be easy but I was all wrong, in Ohio I learned to suffer and sacrifice for living and this is a great lesson for me. Before I came here I can't cook and wash my clothes, but now I have experience with that. Also, I learned how anyone can live alone and it is self-reliance.

Hi everyone!

My name is Jackson Yang who comes from Xi'an ,China.
Xi'an is an old city with long history. It used to be the capital city of Tang dynasty, which was called Chang an.I came to Xi'an when I was 11years old.And I'm 19 years old now. Before I came to Xi'an,I lived in a small town called Tong Chuan in Shaanxi province.I love my home town a lot. When I was very young,I heard there was a country called 'Mei Guo’ which was very rich and strong,so I decided to go to study in America one day. This year,I achieve my dream.I think America has perfect environment and is really rich, but I can not find a feel of 'home' here because of different culture. But I think I would adapt the culture of America soon.
In my spare time,I love playing video or computuer games.I like worldofwarcraft best. This game has brought me a lot of fun and friends during 5 years. And I also like reading the biographies of successful businessmen. They bring me their precious experience,I should learn from them.
I study economics and finance in OSU.but I don't konw much about it.I just want to learn them well and find some useful method to be a investman when I graduate from college.
Thanks a lot for reading,by the way,I'm not outgoing,so my words are really poor.I hope we can have an enrich time in 106 English class!

hi,everyone

Hi, everyone!

My name is Kaier Feng. I am from a small city, ShaoXing, in
China. I have finished the first whole 18 years of my life in that
historic city, which is famous for millet wine and celebrities.

I have never imaged that I could overcome homesick, staying a place such far away from my home for years. I become sentimental the moment I think of my family. Nevertheless, studying in OSU is actually a luck thing for me. I can meet different people from different countries, like a kind of large multi-culture party, and promote my ability of independence as well as upgrade my knowledge by gaining better education here. Education generally is the most vital revolution in our life. So it really a new and important start to learn and grasp a lot of knowledge in OSU.

I think I'll major in Business,  which interests me more than
other majors. I am confident of doing a good job in accounting or any other subject in business. But the first thing is improving my english capability.

The picture I included is a photo with my roommates in ice rink.( the left one is me) It's not a good one I think because my face is blurred. I regard my roommates as my family members and enjoy laughing as well as  joking with them. But sometimes, especially mid-Autumn Festival, I miss my family heavily. I think it will take me a long time to adjust to my new life here.

Hi everyone,

My name is Saeed. I'm from United Arab Emirates, Al Ain City exactly. I'm 19 years old and I finished high school one year ago. When I finished high school, I found a scholarship to U.S. Last year, I spent my time learning English at the ALP in Columbus. Let me talk little bit about my country.

There are many places worth to visit in my country (United Arab Emirates) and my hometown. My country is 7 Emirates united with each other, Emirates –states-. Every emirate has its own government. Every emirate has especial things. Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate and the national government there. There are many islands in Abu Dhabi coast. These islands are good for tourism. Sair Bani Yase Island is the best island for tourism. The island is a Nature reserve. There are many kinds of animal there. Emirates Palace is a 7 star hotel .It is very good hotel. Al Ain city is a city located in Abu Dhabi emirate, it 1.5 hour far away by car. It is a city in central of the desert .It has oasis so it is green .the famous place to visit there is Al Mubazra al Khdhra. My home located on Al Hilli district, which is the oldest archaeological area in the UAE. There is a park for it. There are many Palm plantations. There are many farms in the desert serve camel riding and camping.

In 2008 I had a scholarship to New Zealand. That’s to improve my English language. In the beginning my father disagreed so I tried to explain studying abroad benefits. I prepared to travel for several months. I did not expect to find someone that I know but I found our old neighbor’s son in our old house.

Blog1- Introduction of myself (Takeshi Mori)

Hello, and nice to meet you all of the students in EDUTL and Mr.Benson.

My name is Takeshi Mori, coming here as exchange student program from Hokkaido University, Japan. I was junior in the university, and majored in applied chemistry. So I take some courses associated with chemistry and chemical engineering courses, also in OSU.

I used to live in Chitose, the city close to Sapporo, Hokkaido. Hokkaido is the north island of Japan.I guess some of you know about the city due to its airport. It has recently a new international airport, and has some flight mainly for east Asia countries such as China, Korea, Taiwan, and so on.

One of the reasons I decided to stay half year in Ohio State, is that I would like to have many conversations with people not from Japan. There are very few occasion to have a chat with them, so I want to use and improve English based on my knowledge learned in schools and university.

I like Sports, especially swimming and badminton. If someone like those stuffs, let's go to RPAC with me!! And I also interested in science(not only for my major),languages, and Animation.

This is the introduction of myself. I would like to have a nice chat with everyone, so let's have a nice class on EDUTL 106!!

Welcome to 106 - Blog #1- An Introduction (Eric Benson)

Hi Class,

Welcome to the 106 class blog - "New Start" First, you will begin writing about yourself and your life and educational pursuits. Then, we will begin writing about matters of academic conduct and how your view them from your perspective. Of course, we will also continue our writing about digital stories, a new genre using digital media.

The purpose of blogging is to develop fluency in your writing on different topics. We will not do numerous drafts of each blog; rather, you will post your blog and I will check it for length and appropriate content. Each blog is worth about 1 percent of your grade, so try to do a good job but focus on content. I will expect that as the quarter progresses, you will get more accurate and organized in your writing.

I have been teaching here at OSU for six years now and have taught 106 numerous times. I also have taught in the ALP program once and for several years in the Spoken English program. While teaching, I completed my MA TESOL, to qualify me for instructing foreign students. This year, I have been focusing my teaching in the area of composition. I like the creativity required of teachers as well as the opportunity to interact with students of different cultures. I also enjoy working with technology in my teaching and finding new ways of engaging students in classwork.

I am married and have two children in HS, Joseph and Daniel. My wife is a Korean American, having been raised most of her life in Indiana. We met in our church here in Columbus. Although I have lived most of life in Ohio, my family and I have traveled pretty extensively in Asia, visiting my wife's homeland in Korea (CheongJu) and also lived for almost a year in Dalian, China (where I got my "new start" to a career in English teaching at Dalian Ligong Daxue - University of Technology). That was an experience I will never forget. I got to learn a new culture and meet many new friends as well as grow with my family. Each time I have traveled has been in a sense a "New Start" to my life in some way.

I have also been to South Korea numerous times for short visits. The last was during the Summer of 2008 when my wife's family traveled to Korea to tour from Seoul to Daejeon, Sorak Mtn to Gyeongju. It was a great time to learn more about my wife and here family's culture. Last year, I went to Peru with my boys and participated in a construction project on a school for Quechua speakers to learn the Bible. This was a new start in experiencing another part of the world besides Asia.

Right now, I enjoy time with my kids, they are my number 1 hobby and I try to encourage them in their music, sports and school. My son is in the Jerome High School Marching Band and my younger son is running on the Cross Country team. This is one value of American schools that you try to provide a well-rounded education. They also try to teach children integrity in their studies and incorporate modern techniques as well as an emphasis on test-taking (OGT, ACT, SAT).

That is a little about me and my family. I look forward to learning about you and yours. Please write this first blog of 300 words about your background, education, family and goals around the theme of a new start. Also mention some "NEW START" you have experienced or are experiencing. Also include just 1 picture. The picture I have included is from my trip to visit my brother in LA this summer. It is at the site of the MASH TV series in Malibu. (maybe you have seen reruns!) I look forward to hearing about you!
