Hi everyone!
My name is Yixue Wang, you can also call me Maggie. I come from Hefei, a small town in South of China, close to Shanghai. I used to study in Tianjin University for about three years, now I transfer to OSU as an underguraduate student. My major is architecture. I love design which brings me lots of fun and delights my boring life. I come to USA to broaden my horizons and cultivate the sense of architecture especially morden architecture.
I have been here for about two weeks. Despite trying my best to adjust to the new environment, I still feel homesick and lonely. Obviously, as an international student, we have to face and struggle with more challenges than the natives, like communication in English, high price of goods, inconvenient public transportation, different cultures and so on.
Meanwhile, I do still enjoy the life here. People here prefer to enjoy life rather than struggling with life which is quite diffenent with China. The tempo of life, the enlightened society, the green around, the fresh air, the facilities of OSU, the professional professor, the pleasant learning atmosphere bring me in a totally different life.
Consequently, I still have to concentrate on the improvement of English and academic achievement. And I'm sure that studing in USA will enrich my experience as well as enhance my adaptability and the skill of independence.
Thanks & best wishes to my family. I miss U, my little puppy.
Hi Maggie, Nice to meet you and I hope you have a great year with great new friends!
