I had a great travel in the center of the desert last year. That was amazing, but really tired trip for me. I love to travel around the world. Before I came to state, I had traveled to other countries such as; countries in south Asia and in Europe. Since I was in state to study, I have visited over 10 states, include Columbus, whenever I had break in high school. My favorite city was New York, Manhatten, anyways. Among those states, the most impressed and unforgetable travel for me is spending 10 days in Las Vegas.
In my high school, it has four breaks in one year. We had thanksgiving break, christmas break, winter break, and spring break. During christmas break 2 years ago, my friends and I watched the move, ‘Oceans 11 and 13’, that plays in the Las Vegas. That movie was so cool, and we got highly impressed. Therefore, we decided to visit Las Vegas during winter break, and wanted to feel the same atmosphere that characters in that movie felt. We booked tickets to go Vegas, which were lower than $300, and also decided which day and how long we would stay. We thought that everything is going fine. But, the bad lucks are just started after that. We couldn’t book the hotel in main downtown because the limited or minimum available age is 21. We had searched for almost 3 hours, and finally we booked three-star hotel 10miles away from the main downtown. However, we thought positively because we could take the taxi to go main downtown.
Total 8 hours flight to go Vegas. Our destinations were Boston to North Carolina, and North Carolina to Vegas. But, what the hell! The storm came in boston. We got 2 hours delay, and plane took-off. We landed in North Carolina, but we already missed the airplane. So we waited 4 hours for next flight. However, the airport announced that the storm is coming from the west coast of California. So, our plane delayed another 5 hours. Finally, around 3 am, the board shows that our plane is on time. We were so happy, but suddenly it changed to cancel. Oh my god. Our plane had a magnatic problem in the wings. We just thought of movie, named ‘Terminal’, rather than ‘Oceans 11 and 13’.
Finally we landed in Vegas, and we went to taxi. We paid $60. After we unpacked everything we were so hungry. We took taxi to go main downtown. However, we spent like $100 just only for taxi. Because whenever we went to restaurant, we cannot even enter because they sell alcohol, and provide casino for customer. We were 17 at that time. We just ate some weird food in fast food shop, and went to take roller coaster, which plays at the top of the tallest building in Vegas.
I only remembered time in airport, view of desert from taxi, and veiw of Vegas from the roller coaster. I want to revenge to Vegas next time! When I become enoughly old with lots of money, I will re-visit there again, and do everything that I could not do when I was in high-school. Thanks!
