New York is really big city which has 8 million people lives in it. As other great places, New York has legends belong to itself. What’s the legend of the New York? It’s the people, who have courage to begin their new lives in this new world.
“This is a so different world. It used to be the other side of the earth.” I thought about those things when I was sitting in the taxi. The sunshine covered on the Pakistan driver’s face. Outside of the car windows, there many cars were flying on the road with rock music. This is New York.
I still can remember a movie named The Legend Of 1900 which was directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. There is a scene that moves me a lot. On the board, people are crowded and clamorous. The frog is heavy. Suddenly, a boy begins to screaming with a very strong French accent, “Amerida”. Every people stares at the Statue of Liberty. A father points at the Statue carefully and says to her little girl with a soft volume, “New York”. He says so carefully and so light that as it is a beautiful dream which he never want to interrupt it. There are many things that we can read from their eyes. This kind of emotion is complicated and strong.
In fact, over 100 million American citizens can trace their ancestors on the ship’s records. This city has an unbelievable power that can attract people, people from different countries, different religions and different races. That’s a miracle in human’s history. That’s the legend of the New York City and the United States.
