the King of the Comedy!
In June 22,1962,Stephen Chow was born in Hong Kong，China.During his childwood ,his life was just like others.But in his heart,he want to be an actor like Bruce Lee,who was his idol.So,at the age of 19,he invited his friend Tony Leung to go to ATV and attended the exam of that program.But he fell to pass the exam and instead Tony Leung passed.At the later few years,he was a anchorperson of a children program.Few years later ,he always act as a walk-on for ten years.But he spit it out finally.One night in 1998,he was found by a director and then played his first leading actor---a punk.He acted so well that you can not believe it is his maiden work .Then he won a lot of prizes by this movie called Final Justice.After this movie ,he played a lot of characters in the later ten years,such as ALL FOR THE WINNER, God.of.Gamblers2, Flirting.Scholar, God.of.Cookery, The.King.of.Comedy ,and Kung Fu Hustle in 2004.My favourite movie of him is From China with Love.Stephen Chow had be the most famous comedy actor in China over ten years ago,and till now ,nobody can exceed him.Just like the Coca Cola said：‘Imitated by many,but surpassed by none’.Those are something about him.
Then I want to tell some elicitations he had given me. First elicitation he gave me is his hard-working and hard-bitten .There was a report told that Stephen Chow had been a worker in the teahouse and a vendor on the street in order to reduce the heavy burdens of his mother.By the way,he grows up in a single parent famlily with his mother.And in the first ten years of his acting career,all of his characters are walk-ons.But he did not give up and adhered to it.In The Legend of The Condor Heroes,he just have few seconds to act as a dogface,but he still advice the director that he can speak more words before he was killed by the hero.What a hard-working actor.I should learn from him! But the deepest impression he showed me is his creative thinking.He had creat a culture which was very popular and still popular till now called ‘out of line’ or ‘nonsensical’.Since it’s hard for me to explain what is this culture,just go and watch his movies.I believe you may get a lot of thinking from his movie as well as laugh a lot.In a comedy’s legend which all actors is copy others,Stephen Chow created his own culture to translate what is comedy and further more he mocked some of the bad social phenomenons by his comedies.

ReplyDeleteI like him too. I have many his movies in my computer. He is a legend whom will never be surpassed. However, I found some data mistakes in your article. He acted as a leading actor in 1988, not 1998. It's a good artile, I like it.
